LM723 Regulator Notes part one of two. You need a good understanding of Op-Amps, differential amplifiers, comparators, input bias currents, feedback systems and voltage dividers to understand how the LM723 works and how it’s used in circuitry.
I’ve made a video of the PCB featured in these notes showing how the voltages are derived for the high end and the bottom end and how the design of the board has some serious flaws in it. Video in side tabs with the calculations and actual measurements from video.
