Armstrong Oscillator Project
We wound these coils in class and soldered pigtails onto them in preparation for the project on the breadboard. Dielectric resistance in the fixed tank capacitor we used in individual class efforts was one of the reasons we generated lower frequency than calculated. The air dielectric variable capacitor is very low loss and worked beautifully.
